On October 9th I will be visiting San Luis Obispo for the first time. I’ve always wanted to travel here because I have heard so many amazing things about how beautiful it is. When the opportunity to run the City to the Sea Half Marathon presented itself, I jumped at the chance.
What’s exciting for me about this race is that I am traveling there with my friends and am hoping to train for a PR. It’s also a race that supports a great cause. Funds raised support the Cuesta College track and field and cross country teams. This helps the sport grow and impact future generations.
What I’m Excited About
Some things I am looking forward to at the race are:
- Sweet shirt
- Finisher’s Medal
- Live Music
- Beautiful course
- Getaway weekend
- Cooler temperatures since the race is at the coast
Running warehouse is one of the sponsors of the race. They have great running products and discounts so I am sure they will have a lot of great deals and product at the race in case I forget to pack something – which always seems to happen!
My Race Training
This will be my next half marathon. Since my races in May didn’t go as planned, I want to do really well this time. So I will be chronicling my training both on the blog and on my Instagram. Follow along and train with me!
