This weekend I am headed to San Francisco to run the Nike Women’s Marathon. Getting in the spirit with a little misty overcast weather and rain today I pulled out a few looks that would be great for wandering that beautiful city! When race-cationing it is important to pack clothes that are comfortable and that you wouldn’t be embarrassed to be seen in the hundreds of group selfies and race day photos you will inevitably be in and want to post on Instagram! Always be prepared. Sometimes I am accused of only wearing spandex and workout clothes, which I readily admit, I would love to do. However, even I dress up sometimes and this weekend you may see me around the city in a mix of studio and street wear.
My go-to look always seems to sneak in a bit of athletic inspired apparel and a hint of comfort! Today I decided on my Athleta Drifter Tights, Betsey Johnson Trench Coat and Nike Dunk Sky-High’s! It’s sporty and stylish. I love the pop of color from my Liberty of London Nike Sky-High’s and they mesh nicely with the legging look that is in right now. The fitted trench coat adds a hint of femininity. I kept my hair down with a wind-blown SF Bay Area breezy look and I’m ready to go!
The back of the coat is all about the details with a lace cinching and gold lace along the upper shoulders and back, the trench coat added female style and flair to the look without being too bold. It’s a polished look that still allows me to climb those SF hills with ease.
One of my favorite lay-downs from earlier in the week was the one above with Athleta Bettona Jeggings, khaki coat, over the shoulder bag, Nike tee, infinity scarf, necklace from Mod Cloth and of course those sky-high’s made it in the photo again! It’s casual, cute and not overdone. Perfect for me. I’m always on the go and comfort and style are really important to me.
This weekend in San Francisco is all about having fun, living boldly and crushing my race! I can’t wait to meet up with some awesome running crews and ladies from all around the world. See you soon San Francisco!
