February arrives tomorrow and that means spring, and the Eugene Marathon, is on the horizon. At least I hope it is! It’s time to start planning my race season. First up I will be running a few local 5k races. But come May 1st, I will be running the Eugene Half Marathon. I’m excited about this race for many reasons, but most of all, it will be my chance to get back into a regular training schedule and search for my next big PR (personal record).
10 Year Eugene Marathon Anniversary
This race is having it’s 10 year anniversary this year so you know they are going to go big. Plus – the race is in TrackTownUSA! You run a relatively flat course, either a 5K, half marathon or full 26.2 mile marathon! Pick which distance is right for you.
This year I was chosen as an ambassador. The past few years I have really wanted to run this race, but the timing just never worked out. I felt so lucky this year to be chosen to represent and promote this wonderful race in my home state of Oregon!
The Race and a Discount
Taking place on the birthplace of track meets, Steve Prefontaine and Nike, I couldn’t think of a better race for my first half marathon of 2016. I’d love to have you join me running any distance. Save $5 off registration with ambassador code: AMB2016KP. Be sure to register before March 15 before the price increase!
If you’ve been waiting for the perfect race or are just wanting an excuse to travel to beautiful Eugene Oregon and experience the history of Hayward Field, home of the Olympic Trials, then don’t miss out on your chance to run where legends ran.
