Food is fuel. Recently it’s become increasingly difficult to eat healthy on the go. While I generally cook most of my meals from scratch, sometimes I don’t have the time to make my own food. So it’s nice when there are healthy, lower calorie options. That is where Luvo foods came into my life.
Luvo meals are all steam cooked in the microwave, so easy to heat and easy to eat. The meals I received to test were between 250-390 calories, so pretty good if you are watching your calorie intake. They are also made of whole foods and minimally processed ingredients.

My Luvo Meals
I received a mix of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The first meal I tried was the steel-cut oatmeal with fruit and quinoa. It was delicious and looked as good as it tasted. I love adding quinoa to my oatmeal because of the additional protein and fiber. This might have been my favorite meal. I love breakfast in general, and could eat it for every meal if I was allowed to.
The other meals that I tried all also steamed in the package and cooked up beautifully. They even looked homemade when I transferred them to the plate. This is one of Luvo’s selling points, great looking food!
I love pasta and the Kale Ricotta Ravioli was another favorite. The pasta cooked up perfectly and there was a great ratio of sauce to pasta. Yum!
Stay Healthy on the Fly
If you are looking for a healthy, quick meal for busy days at the office or when you are short on time, this is it! It’s a simple way to eat more vegetables and healthy meals, without having to cook in the kitchen every day. They are even endorsed by one of my favorite football players, Russell Wilson of the Seahawks. 🙂
